Job description / Role
Must be able to teach the following related topics:
• Working & Rescue at Height
• Confined Space Rescue
• API Rigger Safety Training (API RP 2D)
• Banksman & Slinging
• Forklift Operation
• Abrasive Wheels
• Basic Scaffolding with Assessment
• Scaffolding Safety Inspection
• Authorised Gas Tester
• Offshore Crane Operator
• Offshore Crane Operator with Assessment
Requirements
Education:
• Technical Engineering Diploma in a relevant subject
• Competence based assessment experience (e.g. NVQ) desirable: A1 or V1, D32 or D33
• Have completed either formal Train the Trainer or Certified Trainer Course
• OPITO Rigger Training Stage 3
• OPITO Banksman & Slinger Stage 3
• API RP 2D accredited
• Work experience:
• Minimum 6 years’ industrial experience as Lifting Supervisor on a Lifting Barge, Drilling Rig or Construction Yard.
• Minimum 3 years teaching experience as a Rigging & Slinging Trainer / Instructor and Carne Op’s
