What you will be doing
As Onboarding Officer you will be responsible for delivering a first-class onboarding experience for all new hires across the Chalhoub Group. You will be the primary point of contact for our newest team members and ensure that they have a positive people experience at all stages of their onboarding journey.
To achieve this you will create and nurture relationships with the HR Services, Administration & Talent Acquisition teams and build the necessary processes & procedures around the neighboring departments to support the new Hybrid Onboarding People Experience Journey.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Acting as the primary point of contact for all new hires from the moment of offer acceptance through to completion of probation
• Working with the HR Operations team to coordinate a smooth joining process for both local and overseas hires. This will include overseeing visa processing, relocations, benefits activation, schooling, accommodation, medical cover etc - keeping the new joiners well-informed of process and timelines at each stage of the process
• Set up, govern, and create regular communication channel through our dedicated email mailbox for all eight countries across the group
• Ensure our new joiners are welcomed to the business and receive their personalised welcome gifts, IT equipment, systems access and appropriate induction
• Manage the new joiner community for new hires to ensure all relevant milestones and training is completed in the first 3 months
• Ensure all new joiners are introduced to Chalhoub staff benefits and discounts
• Develop onboarding/induction programmes that ensure all new joiners are connected with their brand, their line managers and all other relevant departments in the wider business
• Strive for the best - seek out opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies and find ways to continuously improve the people experience

Requirements

What you'll need to succeed
• Experience in a high-volume onboarding role within the UAE
• Experience of developing personalised onboarding and induction processes
• Good working knowledge of UAE hiring and visa processes
• Be an expert in all things Onboarding and be determined to deliver the best possible people experience to our new joiners
