Role purpose
Operation officer's main responsibility is to ensure smooth operations of daily routine work carried out without any major hurdles and to ensure that the client business is served well to carry on the daily operations. All these need to be carried out within defined policies, procedures, and SLAs/agreed timelines. This position ensures the bank is protected at all times with appropriate source documents, legally enforceable charge documentations/securities, and monitored through a follow-up system for routine actions.
Key accountabilities of the role
- Ensure that the role and responsibilities assigned, which can be updated as and when required, are adequately followed and completed well in time with no compromises on defined policies, procedures, and controls.
- Manage transfer schedule by coordinating with transfer officers, ADIB customers, and sales team to process property registration appointments at the land department.
- Handle mortgage for government housing programs such as ADHA and gifted land registration.
- Ensure following the schedule of appointments confirmed to sales and customers for registration of properties in the respective land department.
- Report issues identified in any process to the line manager on time for timely escalation and resolution.
- Responsible for reviewing cases associated from booking to mortgage perfection and completing the tasks within the functional framework.
- Also responsible for pending cases to be accomplished in due course.
- Provide assistance to the manager in formulating, updating, and implementing SOPs for the department and enhance SOPs to bring more control.
- Track buyout payments and collection of the documents.
- Maintain tracking MIS of each case process at respective Emirates.
- Possess in-depth knowledge to handle the home finance end-to-end process from log in till disbursement.
- Ensure all cases of mortgage and transfer are processed as per the policy guidelines.
- Complete file conversion from advance to Ijara within agreed TAT.
Specialist skills / technical knowledge required for this role
- A thorough understanding of bank's policies and product knowledge.
- A thorough understanding of Islamic products.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Previous experience required (if any)
1-2 years of banking experience in UAE in retail mortgage operations.
