Job description / Role
A leading industry subcontractor with a focus on the energy sector in the Middle East have a requirement for an Operations Manager to join their team in Abu Dhabi.
Responsibilities:
• Drive safety culture and performance across business
• P&L responsibility for performance of contracts across UAE with strong focus on cost control and productivity improvement
• Identification and pursuit of sales opportunities amongst client base
• Allocation of workforce and careful management of manpower and equipment utilisation
• Management of budget for yards
The position will have 8 direct reports including Manager of Projects, Store Controller, Yard Manager, Maintenance Project Manager.
Requirements
• Knowledge of industrial services (painting, insulation, blasting)
• Local experience of managing operations in UAE
• Good communicator
• Ability to lead a culturally diverse team
• Knowledge and experience of working with ADNOC and local mechanical contractors
• Relevant technical (CISRS/ CITB/ NACE etc) and safety qualifications
