Operations Manager

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee equipment washing plant and packaging operations in the dynamic market of Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of logistics and operational management, a keen eye for process improvement, and the ability to be adaptable and effectively work in a dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with our strategic objectives, while also enhancing customer satisfaction and driving overall business performance.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Oversee facility maintenance and machine maintenance
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage and lead a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with other departments, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure alignment of operational goals with business objectives.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other partners to ensure the smooth flow of goods and services.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the operational environment.
- Prepare and manage budgets for the operations department, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of operational processes to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead training and development initiatives for team members to enhance skills and knowledge

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in operations management within the logistics and packaging industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles and practices.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and a natural ability to work with systems
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and implement best practices in operations.

Salary:
AED 20,000 to 24,500 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
