About Swan:

Swan is UAE's unique grocery shopping application that provides its users a platform to shop for groceries both online and offline connecting them with their favorite retailers. Position Description:

Swan is looking for an Operations Manager to focus on managing overall operations including integration with physical retail chains and last mile order delivery.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for full operational execution of timely deliveries and seamless shopping experience in Physical Retail chains.
- Responsible for store onboarding, training, setting up processes and maintaining SLAs
- Working closely with engineers, designers, data scientists, business
development and others to ensure highly quality customer experience
- Establish and manage all partners and agents in the supply chain ensuring effective, efficient and smooth operations
- Collaborates with stores, regional/area managers & operations executives, and leadership to develop or revise plans, policies, and procedures for logistics support
- Pursues optimal performance from assigned resources with consideration of time, cost, and customer experience
- Regular involvement in developing and managing relationships with clients, vendors, agents and government authorities
- Responsible for ensuring current capabilities are highly market competitive
- Willing to operate in a dynamic environment
- Identify opportunities for future development to make shopping easier for our customers
- Understand and spec out customer and business requirements for improvements through working with Data Science, User Experience, Business Development and Marketing teams
- Work across the business to ensure that time-smart solutions, delivery of near- term roadmaps and success for the long term product strategy

Requirements

Qualifications:

- 8+ years of experience in operations especially in last mile delivery logistics
- Prefer (not mandatory) experience in e-commerce or in various B2C Mobile App startups
- Demonstrated knowledge of logistics problems, mobile applications and distribution systems
- Prior experience of implementing new process and procedures within a logistics function
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to inform and advise a diverse set of stakeholders
- Ability to communicate across diverse cultures, languages, work styles, and personalities
- Strong project management skills and ability to present work to executive staff
- Must be a self-starter, a team leader and driven
- Bachelor's or advanced degree, ideally in logistics, business management, or associated discipline preferred
