Role Title: Operations Manager
Reports to: COO/ General Manager

Overall scope of the role:

• The role is responsible for the organisation of and overseeing of the daily operations of the F&B Division at a newly formed entity.
• He/She is responsible for ensuring that the business operations is well-coordinated and results focused by managing its policies, processes and procedures, coaching its people and ensuring the provision of service excellence.
• Directs and coordinates the internal structure of an organisation based on company policies, goals, and objectives to ensure an efficient working environment, effective use of resources and that deadlines and outlet targets are met consistently.

Key functional responsibilities: includes but not limited to

- Day to day operations
• Accountable for all day to day operational activities, setting goals, objectives and financial targets to meet the company strategic objectives
• Plans and monitors the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress
• Ensure that the company runs within the legal parameters required and conforms to established food business regulations
• Assists senior leadership team in setting goals and objectives that promote Company growth
• Identifies improvement areas and plans and implements systems to boost effective use of resources

- Outlet financials
• Review financial information and adjusts operational budgets to promote profitability
• Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analysing and interpreting data and metrics
• Prepares budgets, schedules, and other organisational reports as needed
• Develops plans to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Promotes and enforces safety in the workplace
• Manages stock and inventory
• Collaborates with head of finance to develop financial plans

- New outlet openings
• Working closing with the commercial division, source key potential outlet locations, reviewing footfall, market trends, forecasting P&L and
making recommendations to the board
• Working closely with the operations and HR teams to monitor progress of new outlet openings to make sure it project plans and timeslines
are achieved within financial target
• Ensures that brand and SOP training is provided to all new employees of the outlets
• Working alongside Finance to review forecast against actual

- Customer service standards
• Oversees customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
• Ensures customer requirements are met in a timely manner

- Policies and procedures
• Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
• Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation
• Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
• Improves existing systems and policies

- Food safety
• Attention to detail, keeping a focus on food standards, costs, wastage, ordering, safety, etc.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations

- Operations Team management
• Supervise staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback
• Oversees daily activity of the team
• Provides advice and guidance to other employees
• Manages team workloads in order to meet goals and deadlines
• Executes plans designed to meet company goals by changing policies and coaching employees

- Performs other tasks as required as deemed appropriate for the role

Requirements

Person specification:
• The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various Company processes.
• Competent and able to plan many kinds of operational activities.
• An excellent leader who can discover the most efficient ways to run the business.
• Knowledge of industry’s legal rules and guidelines.
• In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)

Technical Specifications:
• Previous experience as an F&B Operations Manager, GCC experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS).
• Degree educated. Masters/MBA preferred
