What you will do

Operations Manager - HVAC (Chillers & Airside) is a key role based in Dubai and reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, Aftermarket. You will be responsible for the profitable execution of the projects within UAE which cover HVAC under general direction and ensure that assigned projects are done accurately, on-time, billed, within budget, and scope of the contract. Maintain positive cash flow, create and actively support the development of project execution plans, maintain cost estimates, and pursue selling change orders as necessitated. Ensure work performed is within compliance guidelines of the country and local legal requirements, and demonstrates the highest ethical standards. Adhere and ensures Johnson Controls staff and subcontractors comply with all safety standards, also responsible for following the JCI playbook, applicable policies and procedures, support continuous improvement of established policies and best practices, maintain an effective balance between customer satisfaction and project financial results.

How you will do it

* As an Operations Manager, you will act as the primary leader for on-site execution team and maintenance contracts, maintain schedules, and execute according to plan for assigned projects.
* Manage cost and maintain profitability goals, positive cash flow for the projects, review and interpret contract T&C, oversee contracts with highest KPI's, SLA's, contractual scope, HSE, and installation techniques.
* Evaluate the contractual scope of work and the impact of client issued bulletins, field directives, and/or scheduling changes.
* You will also analyze data from financial reporting systems and project schedules to proactively address potential problems and effectively communicate the project progress, issues, and financial status to management as required.
* Ensure any engineering and commissioning performed by the field team is as per the established standards, manage orders, and delivery schedule of material to be procured for the projects assigned.
* You will conduct job-walks throughout the life of the project to punch and closeout the completed work, get customers signoff incrementally at end of the project and ensure as-built engineering is documented for all scope executed on projects.
* You will access the risks and establish project recovery plans when required and resolve disputes with minimal need for escalation, maintain risk log throughout the life of the project.
* Support the development of long-term relationships with customers, consultants, prime contractors, and subcontractors.
* Examine financial data and use it to improve profitability, manage budget and forecast, prepare, and deliver clear performance expectations.
* Conduct performance reviews and drive development plans for the team with the functional manager, coach team on the management of operational risks, conflict resolution, and establish recovery plans, ensures a consistent level of coaching.

Requirements

What we look for

Required

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or relevant fields
* Minimum 8 years HVAC Operations and AMC Contracts management experience, specifically for Chillers (LTC and STC) and Airside equipment
* Strong technical knowledge of Chillers (LTC and STC) and HVAC Airside equipment
* Proficient in Project Management software and financial accounting systems
* Experience in handling all financials of jobs including margins, costs, budgeting and forecasting
* Experience in leading, developing and coaching the operational team to deliver the business plan (revenue, executed margin & trade working capital)
* Strong personal computer working capabilities in MS Office (excel, word, PowerPoint, project), Visio and basic Windows environment
* Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
* Excellent English verbal and written skills
