Job description / Role
The Operations Manager is responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the power and desalination plant which include HRSGs, gas and steam turbines, generators, MSF distillation associated auxiliary equipment and substations, in accordance with company policies, Operations Department policies, as directed by the Plant General Manager.
Salary Range AED 30,000 to AED 34,000 (depending on the qualifications) towards Basic, Housing and Conveyance
In addition to this, the successful candidate will be eligible for Annual Bonus, 24 working days paid leave, Free Medical Insurance for the employee and sponsored dependents, Free life coverage for the employee, Air Ticket allowance (fixed for each grade) and other benefits as per the UAE Labor Law.
Requirements
- Male
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics).
- Ten years of power/desalination plant experience, five years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience in Siemens gas/steam turbines and MSF desalination as Operations Manager preferred.
- Good knowledge of EHS aspects of Power and water industry is essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent English verbal and writing skills. Ability to write procedures and technical reports in English.
- Strong leadership skills are essential.
- Excellent computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze a problem and pursue it to a successful conclusion.
- Ability to take direction and responsibilities.
- Team player.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to train subordinates.
- Availability to work a rotating shift.
- Willing to work at Abu Dhabi (80 km away from Abu Dhabi City)
