Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsibilities:
- To deliver operational excellence for ELR’s Bars & Restaurants. To lead and motivate a team to ensure the highest levels of customer service and product standards are established. To work with the Outlet Managers/ Food & Beverage Managers ensuring the individual Outlet Teams are developed and trained to reach their full potential so they can exceed expectations and raise brand standards.
- To manage the ELR/PI relationship on a day to day basis so that F&B is seen as an integral part of the hotel business and key to its’ broader success; encouraging and enabling the PI team to promote F&B to all its’ guests, throughout their customer journey.
- Responsible for the financial management of the business steam by growing sales and profit and beating the budget to achieve financial performance.
- To develop and implement marketing plans for all businesses, growing awareness, driving footfall, increasing consumer loyalty and improving financial returns. Responsible for achieving and maintaining world class standards for guest satisfaction, staff retention and F&B safety
- To manage all aspects of the business delivering sustainable double digit profit growth across each outlet and ahead of target
- To continuously track the financial performance of the business through P&L assessment and to report KPIs and their discrepancies in conjunction with a corrective plan
- To recruit, train and develop a team which passionately delivers customer service excellence and financial growth
- To continuously monitor customer feedback and inventively adapt the food and beverage, as well as service offer, to maximize revenues
- To ensure that marketing plans and campaigns effectively support the business plan of individual outlets, helping drive sales and achieving revenues
- Working with the General Manager to evaluate new business opportunities and to provide the outlet format best suited to each opportunity
- To work with Outlet Managers and Chefs to ensure that menus are continuously upgraded and that the best products are procured in terms of quality, delivery times and cost
- To provide a report on the state of business at set times as laid out by the General Manager
- To support outlet managers/supervisors in the mid and end of year Budget appraisal in terms of attaining targets and setting improved targets for the following year
- To control and maintain payroll costs in line with business fluctuations
- To assist, train and motivate staff in all areas front and back of operations, making them multi-tasked operators.
- To carry out effective 1-1 onsite Business Reviews with Outlet Managers on a monthly basis as a minimum
- To hold effective team meetings with all Outlet Managers on a monthly basis as a minimum
- To ensure that time spent ‘in the outlets and their markets’ is reflective of the nature of the role and is, as a minimum, 70% V 30% office based, included in this is evening and weekends
- To ensure the outlet and its’ market place are thoroughly understood during their busiest times by being ‘in the field’ at least one Thursday evening/Friday evening/Saturday for 3 out of each 4 weekends

Product Development
- To work with the General Manager to evaluate and continuously improve marketing collateral, merchandising vehicles, point of sale material product range and recipes to ensure that the sales mix and product offer is in line with each outlet’s (demographic) opportunity
- Accounting for the diverse cultural demographic, develop a product range, to suit the international palate. Each addition to the range should be supported by a customer study to illustrate the sales projection and the Executive Sous Chef.

Events Operations
- Working with the Events and Marketing team to build and maintain the events business by identifying suitable opportunities for brand participation.
- To be the lead manager on duty for all events as specified by General Manager.

Requirements

Essential:
5 years relevant industrial sector experience in senior roles (Multi Stores Management) , with a track record of developing industry leading teams. 4 * or above hotel experience desirable, 3 * essential.
Exceptional communicator, with the ability to build strong relationships and to influence strategic development through the presentation of a clear and well-supported vision.
Good Knowledge in business math and accounting commercial skills.
Strong analytical/decision making skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Must have experience in managing Food and Beverage Outlets in the hotel industry

Desirable:
Advanced Computer skills (MS office), PowerPoint presentation and MS excel.
Degree qualified
Experience in the Middle East
