Operations Specialist - Port Services

Charterhouse is working with a Global Shipping Consultancy, specialising in providing Husbanding, Fuel Supply, Logistics and port services to its Maritime clients. Our client is looking to hire a solution orientated Operations Specialist to manage the seamless execution of a portfolio of military husbanding operations alongside the team based from their Dubai regional headquarters.

The Operations Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all aspects related to service and contract supplies within the husbanding field throughout the Middle East region. The role involves adhering to the terms specified in client contracts and aligning actions with company guidelines whilst analysing contracts to also identify opportunities for the most favourable economic outcomes within the scope of the contract.

The role will be tasked with establishing clear channels of communication with the global team, clients and local agents situated in various ports. The primary focus is on ensuring meticulous preparation for ship visits and the delivery of services to meet the highest standards. Regular on-site operations attendance is a crucial aspect of the role, involving monitoring conduct, agent training, and oversight of audits or emergencies. Given the nature of the role, frequent travel is expected, often at short notice, requiring a high degree of flexibility.

To be considered for this role, the successful candidate must demonstrate a proven track record within a maritime, shipping, or logistics environment, ideally for an organization with operations across the GCC region alongside a strong understanding of commercial contracts.
