Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:

Monitor and control process parameters for various plants from the Control Centre. Take quick and safe corrective actions in case of process upsets or emergencies in line with standing instructions. Manage well pads and plant operations and maintenance activities, turnaround and start-up sequential activities, troubleshooting plant's day-to-day problems with a view to enhance the operational efficiency.

Key Accountabilities

Job Specific Accountabilities
  • Monitor and control plant continuous operations including identifying causes of production limitations and recommending improvements to meet company oil and gas production and water injection targets.
  • Monitor and control process parameters in oil, gas, utilities and plant operations. Take timely remedial actions in case of process alarms or plant upsets to ensure safety of plant and personnel.
  • Liaise with AON operations personnel on quantity and quality of oil and gas produced on a daily basis for accurate hydrocarbon accounting.
  • Co-ordinate the activities in the field:
    • Surface facilities PM plans
    • Wellhead PM including cleaning and servicing X-mass tree, SSVs, choke and isolation valves, etc.
    • Flow line maintenance
    • Track maintenance
    • Transfer line pigging
    • Surface casing repairs and handover and acceptance of wells to and from drilling.
  • Mobile equipment on location and record utilization.
  • Monitor fire and gas panel and interact with maintenance team for rectification of failure of any plant protection system.
  • In case of emergency, take appropriate actions as per emergency procedures and contingency plans. Safely shut down the affected plant partially or totally.
  • Restore the plant to normal operating conditions safely and efficiently once the situation is normalized.
  • Initiate work request for maintenance in case of equipment or instrument failure in coordination with field operators and Duty Operations Engineer.
  • Follow up work permits, take equipment or instruments out of service for maintenance and take back in service after maintenance intervention.
  • Communicate with field production personnel for any variation in parameters, update field team of any alarm or abnormalities occurring in the field.

  • Implement and comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures to accomplish operational objectives.
Training
  • Provide on-the-job training to meet competency-based training programs for UAE nationalization.

  • Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures and functional processes.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
  • Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, in compliance with safety rules, procedures, regulations and ADNOC codes of practice.
  • Report HSE non-conformances, incidents and near-misses to respective supervisors and HSE representatives including logging into SAP; stop and report any work that is considered unsafe or not in line with HSE policy and procedures.
  • Carry out the emergency responsibilities in line with the respective roles as per the emergency organization.
Housekeeping
  • Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during operations, in line with established standards of hygiene and housekeeping.
Reports
  • Provide inputs to prepare section progress reports for company management.
  • Prepare various key performance indicator (KPI) checklists for management.

Communications & Working Relationships:

Internal
  • Reports directly to manager, operation and communicates regularly with all the relevant stakeholders for any other relevant departments as required.
External
  • ADNOC Onshore.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

Minimum Qualification
  • Technical diploma in relevant field or secondary school certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
  • 2-3 years of experience, preferably in oil and gas industry.
