Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The role is initially to assist the ESS and HCM teams, in collaboration with the ICT Department to implement further enhancements and automations to Transguard’s Oracle HCM system. This should include but must not be limited to System / Business Analysis, Design, Build, Document, User Acceptance Testing, Training manuals and online help.

Purpose: To provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Oracle HCM processes especially ensure automation of processes to and from other internal and external software applications

• Responsible for technical input inclusive of programming and any technical and functional requirements and assist in ESS and HCM business process re-engineering
• Leading Conference Room Pilots (CRP's) to end-users, ensuring documentation of Test Scripts, User Acceptance Testing, Sign off, Training materials and Knowledge Transfer is completed.
• To give guidance through various forms to the vast user community on the best use of existing functions and newly introduced functions.
• Design and develop discoverer reports and develop and maintain customised forms and reports
• Coordinate update and maintenance of the business critical master tables and system configuration database of the ERP system.
• Design, development, building, testing and deployment of new or changes in configuration and/or custom extensions like Reports, Forms, Alerts, Workflows, Interfaces, and other related Concurrent programs
• Developing and maintaining resolution procedures, using industry standards for development, testing and user acceptance to ensure a standard company policy is adhered to
• Developing, maintaining and distributing documentation like Technical Design Document, Database Extensions Document and Test Scripts, ensuring that it is constantly kept up to date to meet Oracle system audit requirements
• Implement Transguard policies through Oracle Fast Formulas
• Evaluation and improvement of system performance and usage
• Training material preparation and maintenance and training the end users.
• Maintain and update end-user and procedures documentation.
• To provide Technical and Functional Expertise to key stakeholders and Business Subject Matter Experts in all phases of the project lifecycle from discovery, design, build, user acceptance testing and go-live.
• Develop and maintain relationships with all key stakeholders IT, ESS, HCM and Business Units and other relevant stakeholder depts. on a regular basis to ensure effective communication and running of system
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and Database Administrators for impact analysis of software updates, patches and enhancement requests on existing data model.

Requirements

• 5 + years experience as an Oracle Applications Techno-functional Consultant with 3 Full-cycle implementation projects experience in Oracle R12
• Well-versed with development tools like PL/SQL, Oracle Reports, Oracle forms, Oracle Workflow builder, Oracle Discoverer and OA framework
• An excellent functional understanding of HR, Payroll and SSHR
• Strong understanding with the data model of at least 4 of the following: Core HR, Payroll, SSHR, modules and the touch points between the modules in Oracle HRMS R12, preferably with version 12.1
• Should be conversant with the APIs and open interfaces related to Oracle HCM modules
• Have strong experience with Oracle Application Object Library, Oracle Applications Coding Standards, Oracle Applications User Interface Standards and other components of Oracle Application technology stack, in order to build custom extensions and modifications
• Excellent technical proficiency in RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversion, and Extensions)
• Excellent knowledge of HR/Payroll/Benefits Schema
• Demonstrable ability to write ad-hoc reports, fast formulae, custom workflow and custom extensions
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Willingness to undertake writing test scripts, preparing scenario based testing, liaising with key business users to determine content
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and English oral and written communication skills
• Ability to produce high quality project documentation
• Familiar with working in an integrated and multi-cultural environment
• Understand current HR processes and ability to gather requirements for new system
• Self-motivated team player and able to work with minimum supervision
• Bachelors degree in a relevant subject
• Recognized Project Management Qualification

Additional Skills:
• Skill Set: Java, Application design / Consultancy, SQL Server, PL/SQL
• Microsoft Office suite, MS-Project, MS Visio, and Document management systems
• In-depth and detailed knowledge of user/functional environment on Oracle HCM system.
• The ability to plan and organize numerous tasks in parallel and deliver within agreed time scales.
• Proven track record in analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Ability to understand different user groups’ needs and translate those to into workable solutions suitable to all user groups.

Please note this is a 1 year Contract.
