Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Role: Manage execution of Packaging related projects and initiatives at factory level in line with corporate packaging policies in terms of quality, safety and compliance.

Responsibilities:
* New Product Development & Introduction - Lead Packaging projects & trials at Factory level
* Continuous Excellence - Conduct value analysis; identify and recommend cost reduction and, source optimisation opportunities. Accountable for efficiency in Packaging Lines and Materials usage.
* Safety, Quality & Compliance - Assist Factory QA to review packaging related on-line/off-line controls - to implement packaging monitoring plans. Drive quality improvements in our packaging.
* Supplier development & audits - Support Corporate Packaging and Procurement in the selection, assessment and development of new suppliers/converters. Auditing suppliers regarding packaging safety and compliance.

Requirements

* Graduate in Packaging technology, material science, chemistry or similar
* Experience of supplier development for packaging material
* Knowledge of different types of packaging materials – primary to tertiary packaging materials
* Experience of managing a Project in packaging
* SAP knowledge is preferred but not mandatory
* Preferable to have strong knowledge on Packaging machines
