Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Key Performance Areas:

High level of accuracy in performing his/her duties, that includes (but is not limited to):
Summarizing legal documents
Performing records research
Performing legal research
Coordinating research
Checking legal forms for accuracy
Preparing reports
Preparing correspondence
Preparing and amending basic legal documentation


Main Tasks & Accountabilities:

Perform legal and factual research
Perform records research and source documents required by the legal team
Identify relevant judicial decisions, statutes, legal articles, codes and other pertinent material
Review and monitor new and updated regulations
Organize and analyze information
Cross-check and validate information
Prepare written reports
Draft legal documents including briefs, contracts and legal agreements
Help prepare legal arguments, applications, declarations and
Check legal forms and documents for accuracy
Maintain reference files in hard copy and electronically
Organize and track legal files
Maintain law library
Ensure IP matters protection, trademarks certificates, registration and all documents related to the company/group
Ensure full record of all company Powers of Attorney
Ensure full record and tracking of all letterhead usage
Liaising with Local authorities
Take minutes of meetings & follow up on them
Prepare translations of documents and arrange for official translations to be stamped
Initiate trade license renewals across the Group and ensures all Group companies maintain their correct and up to date licenses to operate

Requirements

Bachelors or degree Certificate program in paralegal studies
Bachelors degree in law or business administration.
Paralegal certification may be required
More than 5 yrs in a reputable law firm, or similar role in medium to large company.
Thorough knowledge of legal principles
Thorough knowledge of legal research techniques
Thorough knowledge of legal terminology
In depth knowledge of government regulations
FLUENCY IN ENGLISH AND ARABIC language (written and spoken)
Relevant computer knowledge and experience and understanding of record keeping systems
