Job description / Role
PSR is looking for a Paralegal to work within a local Government entity here in the UAE. This section of the Government is exceptionally busy and as such have created several positions within municipality to work hand in hand with the engineering division. This entity has been consistently recognised as an employer of choice.
Our client is now looking to recruit several Paralegals for their existing legal team, based at their headquarters in the UAE, a new, exciting and challenging opportunity exists for a paralegal to provide core legal support to the Legal team. The role will afford the right candidate with excellent hands-on experience and a varied work scope, managing court house secretarial issues and assisting with maintaining best practices of corporate governance across the Government.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assisting with and ultimately managing company secretarial and compliance processes, including managing statutory filings in multiple jurisdictions
* Reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements
* Managing and updating intellectual property database and assisting with varied I.P. matters, including trademark registrations and handling infringement-related issues and disputes
* Drafting minutes, resolutions and corporate approvals in relation to a wide range of complex agreements across a variety of sectors
* Preparation of internal and external documentation, including typing and amending a variety of legal contracts and agreements
* Preparing presentations and reports, ensuring elegance, excellence and conformity
* Creating and managing highly confidential files and records, including utilising a logical and intuitive matter-specific filing system and archiving of original legal documents

Requirements
* Bachelor degree in Law or Paralegal studies
* Paralegal certification is advantageous
* Thorough knowledge of legal principles, practices, legal research techniques and terminology
* In depth knowledge of local and international laws and regulations
* UAE experience
* Strong research and analysis skills
* Fluency in Arabic and English
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with experience in dealing with confidential information
