Paralegal

Job description / Role

A great opportunity for a Paralegal to join a dynamic Intellectual Property team has arisen in our DIFC office. Among others, the successful Paralegal will have the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Expected to assist associates of all levels on research of laws and judgements
• Perform legal research, checking facts, gathering client information and evidence and completing paperwork
• Assist associates with drafting minor changes to standardized documents and advice, as well as proof reading
• Expected to prepare standard legal documents for matters as and when requested
• Organise department database of standard laws, judgments, regulations and precedents system as well as provide the associates with an update
• Expected to assist the Head of Department/Partner in monitoring and coordinating work between associates by preparing client consolidation reports
• Responsible to liaise and finalise with marketing on new laws and regulation articles to be published in 'Law Update'.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
• Previous experience must be from legal firm or legal department
• Working knowledge of research techniques
• A law degree or similar paralegal qualification
• Excellent command of English and Arabic
