Paralegal - Based in DMCC
We are seeking a Paralegal, with Common Law experience for our prestigious client based in the heart of the DMCC. This is a very exciting organisation with a strong remit and we are seeking an individual who has had specific Common Law experience in either the UK, USA and/or Australian legal system. The role reports to Chief Legal Counsel and operates within an oil trading environment.
The role encompasses responsibility for all activities for official submission to external parties, complex contractual negotiations and the prompt processing of all legal documents and filings in both UAE jurisdictions and overseas. Full legal administrative support is required to the Chief Legal Counsel and there will be considerable research work for various projects the company undertakes on an international level; preparing advanced presentations to support the research. There will be ad-hoc project work and day to day administrative duties for the department as a whole. Additionally, you will maintain close relationships with both internal and external stakeholders across the business.
The successful candidate will be highly analytical and have strong English grammatical ability, being able to write clearly and concisely, whilst under pressure and draft and implement decisions and policies. Detailed report and brief writing are required and for this reason is specifically seeing a native English speaker with the relevant legal qualifications for this position.
This is a dynamic and fast paced environment, where you will be expected to be highly self-motivated with excellent time management and inter-personal skills. Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Law or equivalent and further legal qualifications and / or Bar Admission would be considered of huge advantage. Candidates must have a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role. Due to the scope and nature of this role, we will only consider candidates who have the exact qualifications and experience and whose native language is English.
