Our new client is seeking to diversify its reach beyond its grass roots in Australia and is currently presence in 25 countries. This community health and humanitarian NGO wishes to expand within the Middle East region and has chosen Dubai as its main hub of activity to execute this. Beginning in 1992, the foundation has grown rapidly and they now have an ambitious 5 year global strategic plan that aims to realize their goals of reaching those most in need in every corner of the globe.

Therefore, Irwin & Dow are seeking a Partnership Manager to join the new team here in Dubai and assist with fundraising, international partnerships, business development, events, increase in awareness and overall strategic plan of the organisation. This is an exciting position for those currently within an NGO or charities role, looking for a challenging next step where they can have maximum impact and engage local partners from a large giving community, both from corporate organisations and high net worth individual donations and expertise.

The main key areas of responsibility for the role of Partnership Manager will include contributing and influencing the ongoing development and implementation of the strategic plan in Dubai and the wider Gulf region. Project planning for key initiatives, financial targets and contributing effectively to the international partnerships, business development and public affairs strategies also fall within the scope of this role. Additionally, it is expected that the successful candidate will cultivate and manage a portfolio of major gifts and partnerships to achieve the income targets, provide advocacy to manage and develop stakeholder relationships, oversee the creation of innovative fundraising products and infrastructure and fully represent the foundation within networking events, corporate hospitality and promotional functions; being very much a spokesperson for the organisation at a regional level.

Requirements

We are seeking those educated to degree level with an employment history or passion for charities and humanitarian projects. You will be accustomed to managing others and collaborating with several partnership organisations concerning fundraising and ideally have been exposed to the not for profit sector previously. A strong establish network and understanding of the cultural landscape for the Gulf region are pivotal to this role. You will also possess a willingness to be strategic, operational and extremely hands on. An excellent standard of English is absolutely essential, with Arabic fluency as a particular desired requirement.
