Job description / Role
Pastry CDP / DCDP up to 3k Aed for a High-End Casual Dining Restaurant in Dubai
• POSITION: PASTRY CHEF DE PARTIE / DEMI CHEF DE PARTIE
• SALARY: up to 3,000 AED all-inclusive depending on experience and qualification
• HIRING COMPANY: Casual Dining Restaurant
• WORK LOCATION: City Walk / Blue Waters, Dubai, UAE
• AVAILABILITY: Immediately available (1-month max)
• EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full time
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, etc. following traditional and modern recipes
• Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
• Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
• Ensure the station Commis adheres to the station recipe manuals
• Involvement in new products tasting and sampling in your department;
• Ensure that the materials are available and on line in timely a timely manner;
• Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes, and preparation techniques
• Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage, and cost control
Requirements
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
• Open to any nationality
• Male/ Female, 40 years old and below
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Diploma or Certification in Culinary Arts, Pastry Making or any related certificate
• With at least 4 years working experience in the same role in casual / fine dining or stand-alone restaurants
• In depth knowledge of sanitation principles and food preparation
• Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.)
• Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features, and promotions
• Good communication skills
