Pastry Chef

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and experienced Pastry Chef specialized in French and Mediterranean pastries that can lead our dedicated Pastry kitchen team.

Responsibilities:

- Manages all day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen.
- Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes , cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes.
- Able to develop, designs, or creates new ideas and items for Pastry Kitchen.
- Create new and exciting desserts to renew hotels menus and engage the interest of guests.
- Ensure excellent quality throughout the dessert offerings.
- Decorate pastries and desserts using different types of icings , toppings etc. and ensure the food presentation will be beautiful and exciting.
- Supervise and coordinate all pastry and dessert preparation and presentation.
- Assists in determining how food should be presented and creates decorative food displays.
- Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently.
- Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards.

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in a 5-star luxury hotel.
- Experience in United Arab Emirates is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts.
- Strong knowledge of mastering the chocolate and sugar display.
- Excellent communication skills. English is a must; French & Arabic an asset.
- Extremely creative with strong service skills and a demonstrated ability to energize a diverse team of culinary professionals.
- Must be innovative, detail oriented and quality conscious
- Wide knowledge and expertise in different types of pastry and techniques.
- Creative and passionate about food and customer service
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment
- Good knowledge of different types of pastry, dessert, cake decorating.

- Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking or relevant field.

- Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with co-workers efficiently and effectively
