Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Programme Assistant supports the execution of the Pearl Initiative’s research programmes and directly reports to the Senior Programme Manager. The ideal candidate has a very strong interest in topics around corporate accountability, governance and transparency.

Role Responsibilities:
- Assist in executing programmes, in areas such as planning, project management, interactions with programme partners and universities.
- Assist in conduction desktop research, literature reviews, surveys, interviews, collecting and analysing data.
- Assist in the production of research reports (developing, writing, designing, proofreading and finalizing programme reports) published widely across the region.
- Assist in developing and distributing other programme content such as podcasts, interviews, videos and photographs.
- Organise the translation (English to Arabic) of all programme deliverables.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be diplomatic to engage with a wide range of stakeholders. Engaging regularly with Professors and University staff with the capacity to convince University connections of why Pearl Initiative Programmes are beneficial for students and Universities to participate in.
- Proactive, good use of initiative, resourceful can do attitude.

Requirements

- Bachelors degree
- 1-2 years’ experience
- Strong interest in corporate governance, accountability and reporting in business in the Middle East
- Demonstrate research and writing capacity
- Motivated, enthusiastic and flexible
- English and Arabic – essential
