Job description / Role
To be responsible for the overall development and maintenance of Better Homes’ websites, technologies and other associated digital platforms that fall within the remit of the Web Team, both for public-facing and internal systems, and for other technical development tasks as necessary, in line with the priorities for development outlined, planned, and agreed with the Head of Marketing;
- To carry out the development, testing, planning, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our various platforms in line with agreed overall direction in this area. You will build and maintains key relationships with individuals within Better Homes to ensure that work is carried out efficiently and effectively, allowing areas of responsibility to be managed with respect and due diligence.
Requirements
- Must be a technical wizard with excellent hands-on development experience and an unrelenting passion for building market-leading platforms
- Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript/jQuery is required.
- Expert in PHP using OOP and MVC.
- Experience in Real Estate websites
- CRM Platforms, XML feeds and API integrations
- Expert in SQL
- Knowledge in MySQL and various DBMS technology (e.g MongoDB and Oracle).
- Knowledge in Apache HTTP Server.
- Experience working on a Linux (or other Unix type) environment.
- Knowledge of other server-side programming languages like Java, Python, Ruby. DotNet etc is a plus.
