Physical Protection System Engineer

We are actively seeking a physical protection system engineer to join our client based onsite near Abu Dhabi. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work within a specialist nuclear organisation.

* Review and evaluate the technical documents, datasheet, drawings, etc... for physical protection system (pps) technology vendor purchased specs of the systems
* Setting workshops with stockholders to review the technology package
* Correspond and communicate with all internal departments and technology main contractor
* Review and understand the specifications, codes, standards and practices
* Comment on project design documents, supply design documents with comments and additional information for all design issues including studies and interfaces
* Review construction shop drawings and submittals for materials
* Participate in meetings with contractors, consultants, suppliers and stockholders
* Identify, initiate and track trend issues as and when they may occur
* Interpret design drawings and specifications
* Provide technical leadership in the analysis, design, development and implementation of integrated security systems
* Review drawings of system integration
* Review and involvement in the development of technical designs, testing and support initiatives
* Understand and assist in the Development and document security roles, protocols and objects
* Ensure completion and delivery of project documents on time and within the budgetary limits

Requirements

* Full knowledge in similar PPS projects for nuclear plants
* Familiar with security rules confidentiality and regulation
* Ensure adherence to procedures relating to security
* Familiar with the cost and estimation process
* Propose recommendation to the head of PPS to ensure that suitable contractual provisions are made in the contracts that provide appropriate information
* Ensure project is executed within the contract budget and try to minimize the variation request or the additional cost on the project
* Support contractor/supplier invoices verification in order to ensure accurate validation as required
* Experience in health, safety & environment requirements for nuclear plants
* Follow all relevant company's HSE policies, process, procedure and instruction to ensure HSE compliance in all aspects of work.
* Good knowledge of wide range of low current systems and solutions such as CCTV system, Fire Alarm System, Access Control, Structured cabling, Gate Barrier, Intrusion Alarm, IPTV, Master Clock system, VoIP, in addition to Low Current Systems such as SMATV, PA System, wireless link system & Door Entry System, Audio Visual Systems,
* TETRA radio system
* Networking and cyber security
* 10 - 15 years of relevant experience
