Job Title: Planner

Objectives and Role Profile

- The Planner is responsible for the planning of vessel discharge and load operations. The planning takes into account vessel stability, safety, and an efficient yard and vessel operation, insure updating Marine VTS on vessel expecting, berths, positions and any related information’s

Key Tasks and Performance Indicators

- Demonstrate compliance to the requirements of applicable legal requirements.
- Provides the vessel & yard operation administration.
- Acts as a focal point for vessel and yard planning activities.
- Reports problems and issues especially issues of complexity or impact on the operation.
- Responsible for providing vessel and shipping agents with information about vessel load and discharge processes.
- Based on inputs from the Planning Section(s) & Operations Duty Superintendent(s), keep the forward planning board always updated with all the relevant data for each Operations unit.
- Gather all the data necessary for efficient crane booking from operations Duty Superintendents (Planning & Operations) & external parties like agents, marine, pilots, etc.
- Update the system with all the relevant information like: berth plan, crane schedules, crane work shifts, vessel visit schedules, gang allocation
- Generate necessary VOR (Vessel Operations Reports) and other reports in required format and mail it to the relevant department
- Provision of weekly/monthly summary report of vessel arrival and handling
- Prepares and communicates vessel load plans and vessel work plans.
- Keeps the quay-operation and vessel administration systems updated.
- Controls the execution of the vessel operation plan.

Requirements

Qualifications/Experience/Competencies

- Minimum High Diploma.
- MS Office, Internet, E-mail
- Ability to communicate effetely in Arabic & English (Speaking/Reading, writing).
- Any additional languages would be deemed an advantage.
- Amount of Travel
- Work At Home
