Planning and Cost Control Manager

Charterhouse is working with a Privately Owned Investment Group, who operate in the Property Investment, Manufacturing and Industrial Sectors in the MENA, U.S, Europe and U.K. regions. The organisation is a group of companies with over 30 years’ experience, mainly operating in the manufacturing, contracting, property and investment segments. The company has a strong foot-hold in the regional market, and are looking to hire a junior Planning and Cost Control officer.

You will be working for the Insulation Contractor, which works in conjunction with its “sister” company which specialise in the manufacturing of the insulation panels.

This role will be responsible for the planning, monitoring and controlling of all supply and installation projects for both Contractor and Manufacturing companies, according to project budgets and timelines. You will establish the budget for each project, including verifying and checking invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and sub-contractors to ensure that all project expenditures are accounted for. In addition, you will continuously review cost estimates and suggest improvement strategies when possible, as well as prepare forecasts based on your in-depth knowledge of on-going project activities.

Requirements

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil or similar) or Business (Accounting or similar), and have a minimum of 3 years professional experience in a similar role with a Contractor or Manufacturing company. You should have demonstrable experience in Planning, Cost Control and Project Management. Arabic speaking it desirable but not essential. Candidates on the ground in the UAE will be considered as a priority.
