Job description / Role
As a member of the strategy team within a university, the main purpose of this role will be to provide management support in planning and departmental performance management activities to deliver effective strategic Institutional planning and performance management activities. Role will include:
• Support the development of annual plans such as strategic objectives, strategic initiatives and KPI's
• Coordinate & facilitate management strategy workshops with leadership and coordinate & facilitate divisional performance review meetings and institutional performance review meetings
• Review of existing institutional Planning & Performance systems and advise on consolidation and new tools.
• Collect and present performance information (monitoring and identifying trends) against KPI's
• Ensure for the accurate collection, analysis and reporting of performance data and work in conjunction with department and section heads.
• Identify organizational/functional performance challenges and gaps and corrective and performance recommendations
• Align and coordinate with the Internal Audit
• Implement the plans to ensure seamless operations to achieve the University’s strategic objectives
• Implement corrective action as necessary and in line with the approved governance process to ensure complete adherence to section budget and highlight any deviation from the plan in a timely manner.
• Provide budget inputs to formulate section budget and submit for approval and further consolidation.
• Coordinate the collaboration with and engagement of relevant internal stakeholders to ensure effective achievement of programs and objectives in line with the section’s strategic objectives
Requirements for the role:
• Educated to a minimum of Bachelors, ideally Masters
• Prior experience working in a strategy/strategy & future office in the UAE
• Ideally worked within higher education
• High level of communication in English
• Must be a strategic thinker, switched-on and enthusiastic
