Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Provide ongoing Project Control/ support on all the company projects.
- Prepare Project Programmes using Primavera for all projects.
- Review programmes and update schedules and input cost information within Primavera, on a periodic basis, to ensure the programme provides an accurate reflection of the projects time and cost.
- Coordination of Contracting Companies Project Control processes including reviewing and integrating Primavera Programmes. Ensuring that Progress reports are prepared and issued in a timely fashion, reviewing progress made and highlighting to the Project Team where there are areas of concern, areas of achievement and recommend remedial actions as required.
- Managing the project delivery timeline to ensure that activities are carried out when they are scheduled to be carried out, highlighting where they have not been carried out and the re-scheduling, re-sequencing of the programme between contractors to ensure that project objectives and targets are met.
- Coordination of all parties on the projects and initiation of any reactive reporting required ensuring delivery of the projects.
- Review of Project Controls elements of tender submissions including scoring or project programmes in line with the Tender requirements. Attending review meetings and contributing to the contract award process.
- Management of the interface between Contracting Companies to ensure schedule compliance between each party through the course of the project, mitigating any delays which may occur and ensuring that he project team are regularly updated with schedule information from all parties.
- Organising and contributing to Project Progress Meetings, providing updates and highlighting forthcoming project requirements.
- Review and acceptance of proposed Change Requests from contractors, ensuring that any schedule impacts are considered during the approval process.
- Production of scenario programmes demonstrating the impact of proposed scope changes, alternative methodology or possible results of philosophy changes on the overall project programme.
- Contributing to the Schedule Risk Assessment on the Commissioning Programme to ensure that the commissioning is signed in at the appropriate time to avoid any impact on the projects operational requirements.
- Organising and facilitating project planning and access meetings as required.
- Ensuring that any contracts on the project are placed in line with schedule requirements, and escalating any delays.
- Execute projects within the given time and financial parameters.
- Control Schedule of the projects as well as quality & cost and provide inputs for statutory clearances.
- Decision making pertaining to the monitoring and execution of the project.
- Support the project, participate in the evaluation and execution of the project and conducting project cost / benefit analysis at project decision points.
- Ensure smooth coordination and seamless contract administration, which includes facilitating and supervising pre-contract and post-contract activities, the assessment and appointment of consultants on a need basis, design review, Project cost-control (under jurisdiction) and ensure high quality standards and budgetary parameters.
- Planning manpower deployment, procurement of materials, setting project milestones and timelines, supervise the management of cash flow and the scheduling of events according to the prevailing site conditions.
- Reviewing Tender Documents, Value Engineering Study, Tender Analysis & recommendation. Evaluation of claims / time extensions under the terms of Contract.
- Resource Planning & Control.
- Perform other duties as requested by direct & dotted reporting line managers / supervisors.

Requirements

- University degree in Engineering / Architecture / Quantity Surveying.
- 8-10 years’ experience in project planning and detailed scheduling for all aspects of planning design & construction and facility management using Primavera P6
- Good English communication skills.
- Solid technical skills with thorough understanding of project controls, principles and work methods.
- Extensive knowledge in P6 planning, working on GCC based projects.
- Extensive experience in the preparation, reviewing and managing of primavera P6 generated programmes.
- Experience at working on multiple projects both independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- Proactively seeks opportunities to support innovation, solves problems efficiently and effectively and cooperates with others in managing change.
