Planning Engineer

Job description / Role

Time planning & monitoring for project activities to ensure efficient project delivery in order to meet contract targets using best utilization for resources assigned to the project .

Resposibilities:
• Understand work scope, quantity and familiar with logical sequences in terms of engineering, manufacturing and construction disciplines.
• Understand WBS structure , and work with management and project team in the development of work break down structure for progress measurement, scheduling , and project control.
• Prepare and manage overall Baseline time schedule integrating work breakdown structure using scheduling software (Primavera 6).
• Development of progress histograms / S- curves based on agreed progress measurement basis.
• Uploading of Project resources (manpower , equipments , materials ) to baseline schedule and developing related histograms / S- curves.
• Awareness of contractual matters.
• Develop , implement & update progress reports on regular basis including plant versus actual progress charts & Progress Forecasting.
• Analyze gaps between the planned and actual progress and highlight the areas of concerns which require corrective actions.
• Coordination with all team leaders and/or members to communicate required completion dates & highlighting interface between different project teams.
• Development of revised or recovery time schedules.
• Preparation of Extension of time requests if required including delay analysis & affected baseline schedule.
• Participate all related meetings.

Requirements

• BS. in Engineering.
• Experience in project planning using Primavera 6 software .
• Very good English spoken & written.
• Relevant experience in Electrical Projects contracting company.
