Planning Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a skilled Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing, managing, and maintaining project schedules that support our construction projects. You will leverage your expertise in engineering and project planning to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using relevant software tools.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather input and outline timelines and milestones.
- Monitor and report on the progress of project schedules, identifying delays and proposing corrective measures.
- Conduct variance analysis to compare planned vs. actual progress and costs.
- Prepare and present regular project updates to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of any issues or changes.
- Assist in resource allocation and forecasting to optimize project execution and efficiency.
- Support the project team with planning documentation and requirements, including risk assessments and contingency plans.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficient in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) are a plus.
