Planning Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Planning Engineer to join our dynamic construction team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in project scheduling, resource allocation, and ensuring timely project delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using specialized software.
- Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to gather planning requirements.
- Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect changes or delays.
- Prepare regular progress reports and forecasts for management review.
- Identify potential risks and delays, proposing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure alignment of project activities with allocated budgets and timelines.
- Collaborate with procurement and site teams to plan resources effectively.
- Conduct schedule analysis, including critical path identification and resource leveling.
- Support project coordination meetings with accurate and up-to-date planning information.

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry.
- Proficiency with project scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of construction processes, contract administration, and project management principles.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
