Planning Engineer

Job description / Role

• Develop, review, and update project schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Prepare baseline programs, recovery programs, and revised schedules when required.
• Monitor project progress against the approved baseline and highlight delays or risks.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and consultants to gather project data.
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and delay analyses for management and clients.
• Assist in preparing project extension of time (EOT) claims with supporting documentation.
• Identify potential schedule risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Support cost control and resource planning by linking schedule with budgets and manpower.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and contractual obligations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10 years of relevant experience (consultancy experience preferred).
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Strong knowledge of project planning techniques, critical path method (CPM), and earned value management.
• Good understanding of contracts (FIDIC is a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills in English.
