Planning Engineer

Our Tier 1 Main Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Planning Engineer to join their team in Abu Dhabi. working on new large scale Villa and Mansions projects. Successful candidates will have extensive Planning & Scheduling experience on large scale villa and residential projects and be proficient in Primavera. Candidates must have worked for recognised UAE main contracting companies in the UAE previously.

This role is available for immediate joining and is hiring on a temporary to permanent basis as an initial 6 month contract position, outsourced through J10 Consulting, with the option to transfer to staff after 6 months to suit all parties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including all phases of the project.
• Monitor and track project progress and provide regular updates to the project team and management.
• Identify potential delays and propose mitigation plans to ensure project timelines are met.
• Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to gather project information and requirements.
• Prepare and present progress reports, including S-curves, histograms, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure all planning and scheduling activities comply with company policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor and verify project progress.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of extension of time (EOT) claims and other project documentation.
• Utilize project management software and tools to manage schedules and track project performance.
• Support the project team with planning and scheduling expertise to achieve project objectives.

Planning Engineer Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in project planning and scheduling, preferably in villa and mansion residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling techniques and tools.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other planning software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
