Planning Manager

Job description / Role

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Project Controls Director / Sr. Planning Manager and responsible for the overall planning, scheduling, claims and coordination of the projects.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead and manage a team of planners - Developing and maintaining project planning and reporting standards and procedures - Preparation and maintenance of the project work break down structure and integrated project master schedule
- Co-ordination with Consultants and Contractors
- Analysing and reporting on Consultants and Contractors schedules and progress reports
- Perform critical path analysis of schedules
- Review/defend claim entitlement
- Prepare independent risk analyses of Consultant and Contractor schedules
- Preparation of monthly and weekly reports
- Preparing and making presentations

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- BSc in related subject or equivalent experience
- 10 + years post graduate experience
- Minimum of 3 years in a management role
- Sound knowledge of all engineering and commercial aspects of major civil and infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilities
- Experienced user of Primavera P6, Pertmaster and MS Office
- Excellent knowledge of CPM networks, resource and cost loading and risk management techniques
- Ability to effectively monitor and analyse progress, identify trends and recommend corrective actions
- Excellent report writing skills
- Previous experience in the Middle East is advantageous
- Fluency in English both written and spoken
