Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with an operations and maintenance company in the UAE. Our client is responsible for a gas turbine power plant and is looking to hire a Plant Manager to manage the full operational power plant on a technical and operational level.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will ensure that all targets are met and the project comes in on time and budget. You will be responsible for the management of staff and operational activities including planned shutdown and starting of the plant. You will discuss and suggest improvements to design and technical specifications and operating methods. You will also set operational budgets with the General Manager, lead meetings and discuss progress, schedules and overcome any problems on site.
Requirements
The successful candidate should be Degree educated in a relevant engineering discipline. You should have proven experience in leading a gas turbine power plant and set up an operations team in a new plant. You should also have previous experience of managing a full plant to include operational, engineering and laboratory staff.
