Platform Owner - Windows

Job description / Role

My client, one of the leading banking institutions in the Middle East region, are undertaking a large-scale IT transformation to push the boundaries and drive change within their current infrastructure.

As such, they are looking for an experienced Platform Owner who specialises in Windows, X86 and Virtualisation technologies to come in and take full responsibility for the operational stability of these platforms within the bank's data centres. You will be reporting directly to the VP of the infrastructure division and have full control over the solution designing, product strategy and roadmap in order to drive efficiency within the bank, and continually strive to identify innovative alternatives.

This is a great opportunity to take on a Senior role within a flagship bank, where there is a large amount of greenfield work available and you can make a genuine impact.

Requirements

Key Skills/Requirements:

* Credible experience within Windows server environments on an enterprise scale
* Extensive experience in a Senior technical position within a bank or financial organisation
* Excellent technical knowledge of virtualisation software including VMware and HyperV
* Continually assess and be at the forefront of new technologies in order to select new products that will drive growth and change within the bank
* Good knowledge of product licensing
* A bachelors degree in a relevant technical subject
