Plumber

Job description / Role

• Installation: Installing, assembling, and repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures (toilets, sinks, showers) and appliances like water heaters, dishwashers, and water softeners.
• Maintenance & Repair: Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing leaks, broken pipes, and clogged drains using tools like sewer cameras and detection devices.
• System Planning: Interpreting blueprints and building plans to determine the layout of plumbing and water supply networks.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensuring all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and national plumbing codes and safety regulations.
• Emergency Service: Responding to urgent service calls, such as burst pipes or major leaks, often outside of standard business hours.
• Customer Service & Admin: Providing cost estimates to clients, maintaining records of work performed, and documenting materials used.

• Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship or trade school.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of materials (copper, PVC, PEX) and techniques (soldering, welding).
• Physical stamina for kneeling, lifting, and working in tight spaces.
