Job description / Role
Our client, a leading industry firm is looking for a PMO and Strategy Manager to join their team in Abu Dhabi.
The Project Management Office (PMO) is a centralized management structure for a group of projects in an organization, aimed at ensuring standardization, reducing duplication and leveraging resources. The major role of the PMO is to define and maintain process standards by providing a framework to establish standard performance measures based on organizational goals and objectives, and providing tools and procedures to achieve this.
The Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) oversees the PMO process implementation and ensures that information concerning content passes to and from sponsors. He/she is deeply involved in improving the consistency, predictability and efficiency of the organization’s project delivery capability and is highly customer-focused. The PMO Manager provides leadership in best practices and insures that these are consistent with expectations. The PMO Manager must also ensure that the operational issues of the PMO are managed.
Requirements
- A minimum of Bachelor’s degree.
- 6 to 7 years of experience in a strategy consulting or Big4 firm.
Proven experience in:
- Project management
- Strategic planning
- Credential or equivalent qualification in project management will be a plus
- Able to transition effortlessly from planning to hands-on execution as situations demand.
