Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working exclusively with a Diplomatic Mission within the UAE, who is looking to hire a Policy Advisor to join their office in Dubai and play a key part in supporting their business across the region.
For this role, your key responsibility will be preparing reports through effective research and analysis on key policy, economic, trade and technical market issues relevant to trade in agriculture, food and beverage products. You will develop and maintain contracts with appropriate government agencies, research/academic institutions and other organisations which are of interest to the mission. In addition, you will support the Regional Counsellor on required calls and meetings both in country and within the MENA, translating written and oral communications in Arabic and English. You will be responsible for attending any conferences and events as a positive representative for the organisation, reporting any key trends or findings back through analytical reports. Alongside this, you will be the point of contact for any translation or interpretation as per business needs, including all correspondence, both general and official and any meetings or functions.
Requirements
The successful candidate should be fluent in both English and Arabic with excellent written and verbal communication skills, whilst also holding a Degree qualification in international politics, economics, agriculture, biological science or a similar subject. You should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in analytical research/analysis, media relations and be able to think critically and anticipate issues and consider creative solutions that would be suitable for local context. This role requires someone that is able to work autonomously, has the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals, displays integrity and has an ethical approach.
