A Postdoctoral Researcher position is available at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, College of Science, UAE University.
The position is funded by the Research grant "Significant functions in coding theory and cryptography" UAEU Program for Advanced Research (UPAR).
The position is for one year with possibility of renewal or extension depending on the availability of funding. The package include a monthly salary of 9000-10000 AED (depending on qualification and experience), medical insurance and one round trip air ticket. The focus of the research is in area of bent and related functions. More precisely the use of finite geometry objects to study bent, planar, plateaued functions and their connections to coding theory and mutually unbiased bases.
The Postdoctoral researcher will work under the supervision and guidance of the PI of the project to study discrete functions related to finite geometry objects.
- PhD in Mathematics or Computer Science
- The candidate is expected to have a solid background in finite fields theory, and is expected to have interest in bent and related functions, coding theory, finite geometry, mutually unbiased bases.
- Candidate is expected to have background in Mathematics and its applications. Proficiency in English required (written and oral)
