Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsibilities:

- Respond to a brief by interpreting the needs and requirements of the Producer client and be proactive with creative input.
- Mix audio received from producers for On Air Promotions, campaigns and trailers.
- Create and design required sound ambiences using Sound Effects (SFX) Libraries.
- Spot SFX to visuals using SFX libraries.
- Enhance and treat dialogue in trailers including using techniques and tools to clean up and remove unwanted noise.
- Edit music tracks to specific durations, creatively maintaining beat/Bar count.
- Re-mastering poor audio tracks when needed.
- Supplementing any visual movement on screen with suitable SFX.
- Follow In house standards to ensure deliverables consistently meet required specs
- Have an understanding of international Broadcast Standards and be able to deliver an EBU compliant sound mix for transmission.
- Follow a unified work process so jobs can be read and picked up by other members of the audio team.
- Due to current COVID 19 restrictions, some remote work maybe required.

Requirements

Requirements:

- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
- Bachelors degree in Sound Engineering or similar field
- Apple Mac computer platform
- Digital Audio Production (Music Composition is a plus)
- Audio Engineering and Creative Sound Design
- AVID Pro Tools HD
- WAVES Audio Plugins
- EBU Loudness Standards
- Audio Restoration
- Audio Mixing (Surround Mixing is a plus)
- Ability to handle long sessions
- Be prepared to work shift patterns and outside regular office hours
- Excellent housekeeping and file management
- Have knowledge of the TV media industry
- Good time keeping is essential
- Languages: English and/or Arabic
