Job Description
The Geology department at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship to work in the field of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering.
Candidates must have good experience in chemistry of metal oxides nanoparticles and of petroleum. The aim is to (1) Carry out inorganic syntheses and characterization, (2) Formulate and stabilize metal oxide (MO) based nanofluids (NF), and (3) Study the interaction between NF and polyaromatic hydrocarbons in crude oil. The Postdoctoral Fellow has to publish the results in top-ranked journals.
• The completion of a PhD degree in chemical engineering, inorganic chemistry or petroleum engineering is required.
The appointment will be initially made for one year with possibility of extension for another year depending upon satisfactory performance.
The nominal start date is as soon as possible. The position is located at the UAEU's main campus in Al-Ain, about one and half hour drive from Abu Dhabi city. The UAEU is the largest and the top ranked Public Sector University of the United Arab Emirates.
