Employment: Full Time

Applications are invited for a Post-doctoral Fellow in Bioinformatics/Systems Immunology in the Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University to work in the field of computational genomics and bioinformatics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis of immunology, oncology, and cancer immunotherapy data using methods from computational and systems biology, including whole genome, RNA-seq, and single-cell DNA/RNA-sequencing data.

Requirements

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree, preferably in bioinformatics, biomedical sciences, or a related discipline. They should be familiar with UNIX environment, computer and R programming language. They should also be self-motivated, organized, and able to work and manage research projects independently as well as in a team. Preference will be given to those with solid experience in cancer biology, genome biology, and next-generation sequencing analysis.

The applicant should have a PhD in bioinformatics, immunology, or a related discipline. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required. Postdoctoral experience and publication in international peer-reviewed journals are desirable.
