About the project
The principal investigators of a project funded by the United Arab Emirates University - Zayed University Joint Research Grant are looking for a post-doctoral researcher to assist in the project research duties. The project focuses on measuring the individual's quality of life through data collection and analysis from Smart-objects used by individuals throughout their daily activities. The project aims to provide people with the feedback they need to improve their quality of life.

The opportunity
The post-doctoral researcher should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or a related field. The Master's degree holders are encouraged to apply. However, Ph.D. holders are preferred for this position. The applicant is expected to have a strong background in machine learning, as they are expected to build and test machine learning models. The following list details the expected duties of a successful applicant

- Work on the implementation of the data collection, mainly from smartphones
- Help administer the data collection from volunteers
- Preprocess collected data, explore and visualize data
- Work with the team to build machine learning models
- Apply privacy-preserving data mining techniques
