Power BI Developer

Job description / Role

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually compelling dashboards and reports using Power BI
• Translate business requirements into efficient and scalable BI solutions
• Connect, model, and transform data from multiple sources for reporting purposes
• Optimize data models and visualizations to ensure performance and usability
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand needs and deliver data-driven insights
• Implement best practices in data visualization, report design, and user experience
• Maintain and troubleshoot existing Power BI solutions and perform enhancements as required
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with governance policies
• Document technical specifications, data flows, and report logic
• Support decision-making across departments with actionable reporting

• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards
• Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling techniques
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
• Experience working with SQL for data extraction and transformation
• Familiarity with Azure, Power BI Service, and deploying reports to the cloud
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills to gather requirements and explain insights to non-technical users
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
• Banking or financial services industry experience is preferred
• Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and agile environments is a plus
