Power Engineer

Job description / Role

Job Objective
Ensure the continuous, reliable, efficient, and economical operation of the Company’s power facilities, energy distribution systems, and power-consuming equipment. Oversee energy resource planning, consumption optimization, and adherence to safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

Energy Planning and Resource Management

• Plan and schedule the production, distribution, and consumption of all energy resources, including electricity, steam, gas, and water.
• Develop and monitor fuel and energy consumption rates and implement measures to reduce consumption standards.
• Manage procurement logistics by preparing applications for energy equipment, materials, and spare parts, and executing contracts with third-party energy suppliers.
• Organize and analyze the storage, accounting, and movement of power equipment and maintain statistics on energy consumption and technical indicators.

Maintenance, Inspection, and Reliability

• Direct and organize the Unified System of Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and scheduled repair work for power equipment and grids.
• Coordinate and perform inspections of monitoring, control, protection, and automation systems, including timely presentation of pressure vessels and boilers to state supervision bodies.
• Develop and implement measures to improve the reliability and efficiency of power plant operations and prevent accidents.

Projects and Technical Modernization

• Participate in long-term energy sector development plans, technical re-equipment, and modernization projects.
• Prepare technical specifications for the design of new and reconstruction of existing energy facilities.
• Provide technical conclusions on developed projects and participate in the testing and acceptance of new power plants and networks.

Safety and Regulatory Compliance (QHSSE)

• Ensure comprehensive compliance with all environmental legislation, labor protection, fire, and industrial safety requirements.
• Develop and maintain documentation for the Quality Management System (ISO 9001) and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (ISO 45001)

• Power Systems: Deep knowledge of power equipment technical characteristics, design features, operating modes, and the organizational structure of energy support for production.
• Maintenance & Planning: Expertise in the Unified System of Preventive Maintenance and procedures for planning equipment operation and repair works.
• Regulatory & Quality: Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 requirements, environmental legislation, and rules for equipment acceptance/delivery.
• Administration & IT: Proficiency in technical documentation standards, fundamentals of production technology, and utilizing computer equipment for monitoring and control.
