Power Network Systems & SCADA Manager

Job description / Role

We are looking for an experienced professional to manage and optimize the performance of the power network infrastructure, focusing on Systems, Communication, and SCADA. The role ensures reliability, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards while driving innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for network performance improvement, including integration of advanced technologies for SCADA and communication systems.
• Coordinate with internal departments and stakeholders to align network management activities with organizational goals.
• Oversee detection, analysis, and resolution of network-related incidents and outages, ensuring timely restoration and minimal disruption.
• Maintain incident management protocols and ensure effective communication during disruptions.
• Plan and execute network expansion, upgrades, and maintenance in line with strategic objectives.
• Manage resources effectively and oversee procurement of tools and equipment.
• Prepare and present performance reports, incident analyses, and improvement plans to senior management.
• Evaluate and implement new tools, systems, and technologies to enhance network efficiency.
• Ensure operational plans and performance indicators are implemented according to strategic goals.
• Drive Emiratization initiatives and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
• Supervise and guide team members, ensuring continuous development and adherence to standards.
• Promote creativity, innovation, sustainability, and excellence within the team.
• Ensure confidentiality, security, and safety standards are maintained.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by the line manager.

To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, CCNP) preferred.
• 4–6 years for Bachelor’s degree holders; 8–12 years for Master’s degree holders in network management.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
