Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This role exists to proactively manage PR and Communications requirements for DMCC’s Financial Services and a range of commodities backed financial investment tools including the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX) and DMCC Tradeflow, the dedicated online platform for registering possession and ownership of commodities stored in UAE-based storage facilities.

The position holder will drive and implement the Financial Services PR strategy and tactics in line with DMCC’s PR & Corporate Communications objectives.

• Manage and deliver all PR activities for DMCC’s Financial Services and commodity trading platforms including key messages, media relations, content development, logistics, briefing documents and letters
• Act as main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
• Support the PR & Marketing team with DMCC corporate projects as of when required.
• Management of day-to-day interactions with agencies and third party authorities.
• Ensure any briefings are adequate and lead to the production of valuable
• Implement PR & Corp Communications tactics by achieving appropriate publicity and media exposure for DMCC’s Financial Services.
• The position holder will be responsible for spokespeople’s public engagements, media interviews, press trips and other relevant opportunities.

Requirements

• Preference for a Masters degree in Communications, PR or Finance
• 5-10 years of extensive experience in financial services PR and a strong understanding of the industry.

Skills:
The ideal candidate is fluent in Arabic and English, a confident communicator and writer with experience in financial services and commodities PR. Result oriented and capable of delivering high impact communications projects from conception through to completion.A team player and self-starter with an abundance of enthusiasm, drive, and a ‘can do’ attitude will thrive in this role.

DGCX commenced trading in November 2005 as the regions first commodity derivatives exchange and has become today, the leading derivatives exchange in the Middle East.

DGCX is a subsidiary of Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), a strategic initiative of the Government of Dubai, with a mandate to enhance commodity trade flows through the Emirate by providing the appropriate physical, market, financial infrastructure and services required.
