Employment: Full Time

PR Director

What you will be doing:

- Manage high volume of media and influencer leads, including requests for stays, photography, quotes and interviews.
- Project manage PR initiatives, including events, press trips and media mailers.
- Draft PR materials, including press releases, pitches, fact sheets and award submissions.
- Support the North & Central America hotels in content review, editing and copywriting.
- Maintain up-to-date awards tracker for Accor, brands and hotels.
- Keep internal PR email distribution lists up-to-date.
- Assist the team in the creation of owner presentations and reports.
- Additional support projects as needed.

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:

- Minimum of five to seven years of experience in public relations or corporate communications
- Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on writing and editing
- Experience working directly with top-tier national media
- Proven competency in project planning and management, as well as problem solving
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail
- Able to work quickly and efficiently
- Flexible, resourceful and capable of handling multiple projects and tight deadlines effectively
- Self-motivated energetic team player, with excellent interpersonal skills and proven competency in relationship building
- Innovative and creative thinker
- Possess general office administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel, as well as Google docs
- Excellent command of the English language is a must and the ability to speak another language used within North America is desirable
- Degree from an accredited university in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field
- The following would be considered assets: experience in the travel and/or hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel, corporate or agency environment
