Premium Lounge Duty Supervisor - Qatar Airways - Dubai

In this role, you will be responsible for organising resources effectively and coordinating necessary activities to ensure efficient, productive and risk free operation at shift level. You will supervise and participate in daily operations and provide active leadership to the unit assigned.

Specific accountabilities include:
• Conducting and being actively involved in daily team briefings and communicating effectively with all areas of the operation
• Ensuring visual appearance of the operation is of the highest standard by regular monitoring
• Liaising and building positive relationships with other internal departments and external agencies, where appropriate
• Managing conflict resolution and facilitate service recovery situations with guest
• Ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained per shift and actively promote positive teamwork with all colleagues
• Providing on the job performance monitoring and coaching to enable individuals to understand their current competency level and expected level of work performance
• Implementing effective rosters and supervising days in lieu and overtime allocation with minimum risk to daily operations

Requirements

To be effective in this role, you will need a trade or vocational qualification combined with a minimum of three years job related experience, preferably within the premium hospitality, airline, airport or service environment. Experience as a duty or shift supervisor is essential for this position. You will need excellent delegation, direction setting and workflow management skills combined with strong mentoring and coaching ability. You will also need excellent decision making and problem solving skills.

You will need to be fluent (written and spoken) in English to perform this role.
